To apply for any scholarship from UIA, the following criteria must apply to you:
1st place= $2,500.00
2nd place = $1,000.00
3rd place = $500.00
To apply for any scholarship from UIA, the following criteria must apply to you:
- You must have completed at least 12 units at UIA within four semester.
- You must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 units at UIA during any giving semester.
- You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.65 or higher within our course curriculum .
- Our Scholarships are equal to total of $4,000.00 USD and are issued to three students in the following amounts:
1st place= $2,500.00
2nd place = $1,000.00
3rd place = $500.00
- Our Scholarships can be distributed directly to the College or University that you have been accepted to, or we can help with placement in a Language College, Community College or University located in Southern or Northern California.
SCHOLARSHIPS EVALUATE Process
- The UIA Scholarship Committee is responsible for evaluating each year’s scholarship applicants. This committee is comprised of UIA faculty, staff, administrators and community volunteers.
- General scholarship applicants are evaluated and scored primarily on their application form and essay responses as well as a verbal video interview via Skype or WeChat . However, certain scholarships may have additional scoring criteria such as GPA, recommendation letters or other supporting documents.
- Not all students are guaranteed a scholarship in this process, as we have many more applicants than available scholarships.
Mentor Financial Assistance Program
As a United States non-profit organization, University of International Academics, Inc. mission is to help students in China that wish to further their education in America. We understand that international students pay a much higher rate for tuition than American students and our goal is to help offset these costs. Our donors help provide tuition assistance for Language Colleges, Community Colleges and Universities.
